I suppose I should be used to juggling a million things at once. I’ve been doing it forever as have most women I know — I guess men do it too; it just doesn’t seem like the same thing though (forgive me). But anyway, yesterday was beyond belief:
Editing the new novel working on the new play to be produced by CurvingRoad quickly writing a pr piece for Tangled Roots
meeting with a director about the play I’m writing meeting a friend for a drink feeding my son dinner not feeding my husband dinner
answering emails on all sorts of issues preparing for our holiday
not getting to write my blog lamenting that I didn’t get to write my blog
So, my head’s a whirl. Will it still be whirling when I’m hurling myself down some Alpine slope, or will the mountain air induce calm and perspective once again? Believe me – I’m not complaining (though I’m sure it sounds like I am). I’m just rather amazed at all that’s suddenly happening in my life. Happy, but amazed.
I’m off for a week’s holiday in the French Alps. I’ll be thinking of you all, and I’ll let you know whether calm was restored when I’m back to my writing in about a week.

PS I nearly forgot, in the midst of all this I read the incredible novel, In Search of Adam, by everyone’s favourite blogger, Caroline Smailes. Quite a beautiful and haunting accomplishment, don’t you think? Wow!
In Search of Adam was my favourite book of last year. I’ve already read it twice and got even more from it on second reading.
Have a great holiday. And Yes, In Search of Adam is brilliant, and Caroline is truly lovely!
I hope you have a fantastic time and I want to you know that I’m not jealous of all the lovely French food and wine you will get to have…not jealous at all!!
