Just a quick post to announce…wait for it…the completion of the first draft of my new novel! I had hoped to finish it while I was here, and indeed it has happened. Like I’ve said, there is something about this place.
As it stands now, the novel has just over 76,000 words, plus a new title (I think). Of course, now starts the rereading, rewriting, sending out and getting back. In other words, the hard part. But at least the entire story is told and it didn’t even take me nine years to tell it this time. Of cours
e, it helps having this in your back garden for inspiration….

How wonderful Sue! I actually find the rough draft most tortuous, I feel such an urge to get it all down I feel a bit weak. But I love the rewriting, it’s my favourite part of the whole process- sort of like polishing a very dirty car. So for me when I hear your news I think yeah- the good part is coming!
