I have quite a lineup of blogs set for this month. Besides those musing about whatever happens to be in my head at the time, there will be a return to my Great Conversations with the science writer, Marcus Chown, and then the Ward Wood novelist and poet, Colin Bell. Both have new books launching, and I’m always happy to be able to bring new books to my friends’ attention…not to mention, chatting away on all things literary with other writers.

There will also be the launch of a new anthology of poetry dedicated to human rights issues, and I’m very pleased to say that I have a couple of poems in there. So believe me, you’ll be hearing about that, too.

And what else? Oh yes! There will be a series of posts run on the terrific blog The Reading Life, dedicated to the work of my students at Anjali House. In September, I held a remote workshop with them, with the indispensable help of the team in Siem Reap. We discussed memoir, and the students each wrote short pieces about some experience in their lives that was meaningful to them. These will be used as bios to go along with the poems and stories they each wrote while I was with them last winter.  We’re all very much indebted to Mel U of  The Reading Life for giving these young writers this platform.

So, please stick with me, everyone. Lots going on in October!
