My play’s workshop is over.  The week went by in an absolute flash.  The result? I went in thinking I had a good idea and a pretty good early draft, and came out with a play, complete with text, design concept, ideas for transitions, and even a new title!  I couldn’t be happier, and I must publicly thank everyone who participated:  the amazing director, John Wright, the insightful and delightful dramaturg Victoria Banks, and a group of extraordinarily talented and generous actors — Rachel Donovan, Oscar Ward, Neil Haigh, Matthew Steer and Daniel Abelson.  And now, I create the new draft based on our rewrites and discussions and then look for a producer.  Yes, we are going to put this play on the boards somewhere, somehow, and my only hope is that I don’t have to produce it myself.  So if any of you out there in blogland know of someone or some group that might be interested in producing a new play by a new, “emerging” playwright, directed by one of Britain’s most innovative and well-established directors, let me know!  We’ll do lunch……

While all of that was happening, CurvingRoad’s production of SH*T-M*X was well into its first week of rehearsals and from what I hear, it is going brilliantly. We’ve started a blog about it so you can follow along with all the excitement.  For now, you can find it here, and then very soon, you’ll also be able to access it directly from the CurvingRoad site.  And so the whirlwind continues….
PS Can anyone give some technical help?  It takes FOREVER for photos I’ve taken on my phone and put on my Mac to download onto my blog, and many times it never works at all.  So I’m left to images found on the net.  Any ideas so I can show you my own personal stuff?
